Local photographers lauded

THE Beachcombers Photography Club January meeting was themed ‘Wildlife and Complimentary Colours’, and presented an interesting challenge to members.

The winners were:

• ‘Wildlife’ – Isak Hattingh – Playful (Certificate of Merit)

• ‘Complementary Colours’ – Hein Beukes – (Certificate of Merit)

• Open Winner: Cornelius van der Merwe – Washington monument (Certificate of Merit)

• Junior Winner – Isak Hattingh – Playful (Certificate of Merit)

Additional Certificates of Merit:

• Richard Wentzel – A Big Bite

• Nobby Clarke – Sunrise Southbroom

For the next monthly meeting, members will be submitting entries under the themes ‘Scapes’ and ‘Repetition’.

Visitors and photographers are invited to visit the club as guests on the first Tuesday of every month, and share in the evening’s events at the new meeting venue at Splendid Inn Bayshore, Meerensee in Richards Bay.

Induction for new members starts at at 6.15pm, and the club meeting at 7pm sharp.
