Toddler drowns in Empangeni

Child drowns in family pool

A TWO-year old girl drowned in Pearce Crescent yesterday (Sunday).

The child was visiting her grandmother at the time of the accident.

According to a paramedic who responded to the emergency, the grandmother found the little girl floating in the swimming pool.

She died at the scene.

In a separate incident, lifeguards resusitated an eight-year-old girl at the Empangeni Municipal Pool yesterday.

Paramedics rushed the child to hospital where she is reported to be recovering.

  3. Ai! We don’t like to hear this tipe of news. Let’s learn from this and ask your friends/familie to audit your house and identify the hazards around your house. We become “blind” to things we see daily. There is no beter time than today!!
