Pybus casts his way into national team
Part of the Zululand A side, Pybus bagged the Most Edible Fish and Most Fish (edible and non-edible) awards in the a hotly contested competition
ZULULAND shore angler Julian Pybus had a phenomenal 2017 Grand Masters fishing competition, which not only landed him a number of awards, but also selection for the 2018 SA Grand Masters team.
Part of the Zululand A side, Pybus bagged the Most Edible Fish and Most Fish (edible and non-edible) awards in the a hotly contested competition.
He also picked up a silver medal in the individual competition with 130.85 points, behind overall winner Lawrence Schroder of KZN (132.55 points).
The Zululand A side finished second overall with 216.84 points. Zululand B finishing 14th with 100.56 points.
Overall team standings were: 1 Eastern Province A 295.50 points, 2 Zululand A 216.84, 3 West Coast 205.40, 4 Boland 195.69, 5 KZN A 194.43, 6 Eastern Province B 180.25, 7 Eden A 175.45, 8 Western Province A 153.42, 9 KZN B 148.00, 10 Eden B 138.45, 11 Free State 130.40, 12 Gauteng North A 116.01, 13 Central Gauteng B 113.28, 14 Zululand B 100.56, 15 Western Province B 90.38, 16 Border A 83.34, 17 Gauteng North B 73.76, 18 Border B 56.29 and 19 Central Gauteng A 35.35.
