Cyclist dies in R102 collision
According to reports the motorist, driving a black BMW, did not stop and soon after crashed into another vehicle and a barrier two kilometres further on the road
A MAN believed to be in his late sixties was killed on Friday afternoon after he was knocked off his bicycle while travelling along the R102.
According to reports the motorist, driving a black BMW, did not stop and soon after crashed into another vehicle and a barrier two kilometres further along the road.
Official said he was a diabetic who appeared to be somewhat disorientated after suffering a low blood pressure episode.
He was not injured in the accidents but was taken to Ngwelezana Hospital for medical treatment.
Paramedics with uMhlathuze Traffic, Fire and Rescue and SAPS were quickly on scene to alleviate congestion at both scenes on the R102.
