Art in the Shade draws the crowds
Walking around the displays, one did not pick up any negative vibes, with some artists pleased with their sales
THE Rotary Club of Mtunzini hosted a successful art exhibition on Saturday – the first of what most people feel should definitely not be the last.Held on a common in the town and taking its cue from the annual Arts in the Park in Pietermaritzburg, the Art in the Shade was a huge hit.

There was music provided by, among others, The Mtunzini Junior School marimba band and the duo Ant Cawthorn-Blazeby on violin and Vickie Erasmus on accordian.

Vickie also joined John Bougie and Barbara Owen for a few songs.

A water tank, donated by the Mtunzini Conservancy was also decorated by learners from the Ensingweni Primary School under the supervision of the deputy principal Enock Ngema, Twinstreams’ Raymond Ngubane, S’bu Mahlangu and the conservancy chairperson Neil Evans.
