NSRI pumped up about donation

THANKS to the generous donation of a submersible pump by SAMCO Pumps, Richards Bay’s NSRI base can use seawater to ensure the slipway remains clean and clear of debris.

The NSRI is using the Pedrollo Top Multi 2 to pump seawater which is used to hose down the base’s slipway.

This donation allows the NSRI and its vessels to carry out rescues timeously and operate at peak performance.

Pumping seawater to use for the spraying of the slipway is also in keeping with Station 19’s policy of going green.
