A SUSPECT in custody on theft charges escaped from the Richards Bay Police Station on Tuesday afternoon shortly after returning from court.
Mncedisi Kheswa had been transported to the Richards Bay Magistrates Court to make an appearance and when he returned to the station after 3pm he escaped.
Further details cannot be divulged at this stage but police are appealing to the community to contact them if they know the suspect’s whereabouts.
