JP still going strong

LOCAL strongman JP du Randt took his ‘guns’ off safety when he participated in the strongman competition at the Durban Motor Show in Durban recently.

‘With more than 12 000 people pouring in over the three days, it was a great event,’ said Du Randt.

Du Randt returned to action after an eight month lay-off due to a herniated disc in his lumber spine.

‘I thought it was time to give it a go again and was pleased with the fact that with no training I managed to handle similar weights to those when I was training,’ he said.
