New bridge opened for Nkandla community use

The new bridge was opened in Ngomankulu in Ward 11 last week

‘ALTHOUGH our municipality has not got enough budget to support the whole community of Nkandla, our aim is to do our best to cut the chain of poverty in our community.’

These were the views expressed by the Mayor of Nkandla, Cllr Thamsanqa Ntuli during the opening of the new bridge in Ngomankulu in Ward 11 last week.

‘Our municipality spent about R10-million to complete the project and today we thank God we as a community now have the use of this bridge,’ said Ntuli.

‘It will assist our learners as well as community members, as we have lost many lives in this river, especially following heavy rain.’

Mayor Ntuli called on the community to take care of the bridge as the part of the service delivery assets.
