Final call for SPCA fund-raiser teams
The event will take place from 6pm on Friday, 10 November to 6am the following day, but late registration of teams is open only for the rest of this week
ANYONE still wanting to participate in the ‘night in the life of a rescue animal’ fund-raiser for Richards Bay SPCA, can still register their teams.
The event will take place from 6pm on Friday, 10 November to 6am the following day, but late registration of teams is open only for the rest of this week.
The ZO has put together a team and even our esteemed Editor-in-Chief Dave Savides will be putting in an appearance.
So don’t delay, register your team today!
The idea is for each team of four to try and reach a fund-raising target of R5 000, but all funds raised, whether more or less than the target, are welcome.
The event is open to all – families, schools, business or corporate groups. Teams must bring a gazebo, camping chairs, sleeping bags or blankets, pillows, and food and drinks.
Braai facilities will be available.
Dog or cat food must also be brought by each team member – after all, how can you eat without feeding the animals?

Rules
One team-member must be in a kennel at all times during the 12-hour fund-raiser, and this can be done in shifts.
Anyone causing a disturbance or acting in a harmful manner towards the animals will be asked to leave.
Each team must commit to trying their best to reach the R5 000 target.
Once registered, teams will receive their sponsorship form and advertising media.
This is your chance to help make a difference in the lives of the SPCA’s rescued animals.
The organisation relies on private and corporate donations and sponsorship, and its high running costs mean a constant financial struggle.
To register your team, contact event organiser Shirley at Magic Moments on magicmomentsrb@gmail.com or 076 7548948.
