Versatile Courtney has big plans

The 17-year-old Grade 12 pupil was selected for the Northern Coastal, KZN Coastals and Federation U19 teams this year after showing her class in the goal shooter position

RICHARDS Bay High School’s Courtney Coetzer was named the Supersport Let’s Play winner for September after excelling on the netball courts.

The 17-year-old Grade 12 pupil was selected for the Northern Coastal, KZN Coastals and Federation U19 teams this year after showing her class in the goal shooter position.

Courtney is not only a talented netballer, but also plays action netball and models for Just You Model and Artist Management.

‘I started playing netball at age seven because all my friends played hockey and I wanted to do something different,’ said Coetzer.

She says netball has helped her over the years to release stress and escape from life issues.

Unlike her fellow schoolmates, Courtney is certain about her future after completing school this year.

‘I was spotted by 13 model agents who made offers for me to join their agencies after competing at an arts convention in Orlando, Florida last year.

‘My plan is to move to New York early next year and study international business management part-time at the Open University while persuing my modelling career.’

‘I would love to boost my modelling career at international basis, appear at the New York Fashion Week and play netball for a club in New York.’

The photographic and fashion model trains twice a week for an hour with her personal trainer and three times a week for an hour by herself to stay fit and in shape.
