Other winners were eShowe Cricket Club, which picked up the Saturday League First Division trophy, and Empangeni Rugby Club which bagged both the Saturday League and T20 Second Division trophies in their debut season.
The rugby club that rejoined the local leagues after a decade’s break, played from Mick Kelly Park and had a sensational opening season.
Unfortunately they went down to Empangeni Cricket Club in the promotion/relegation match, and therefore will stay in the second division for the 2017/2018 season.
