Competitors followed a 4 Ball Alliance format over 18 holes

LOCAL golfers took time to ‘paws’ on Monday to play in the SPCA golf day at the Richards Bay Country Club, a fund-raiser event for the local non-profit organisation.

Competitors followed a 4 Ball Alliance format over 18 holes.

Divan de Wet tees off on the first hole

Richards Bay’s Lizelle Jacobs, Michelle Haemeyer, Anke Swartz and Chantell Marinus claimed the honours with 90 points.

Lourens Gouws smashes a nice drive off the first tee

They were closely followed by Frans Erasmus, Petro Erasmus, Andre Nell and Nicole Gillespie on 89 points, with
S Khumalo, V Mnguni, C Dlamini and S Mkhize charging in third on 87 points.

The total raised on the day came to R9 210.

Ndosi Cele, Clement Dlamini and Nhlanhla Nxumalo teamed up for the day

Title sponsor Midbay Motors played a major role in making the day a huge success.
