‘LET us put politics aside today and rather praise Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi as faithful leader of our country.’
This was the sentiment of MEC of Art and Culture, Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi, at the launch of the Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi Legacy Preservation Project.
The event also served to celebrate Prince Buthelezi’s 89th birthday.
‘Let us bring back our culture by respecting our leaders, even though they represent different parties, because they work for us as the citizen of South Africa,’ said the MEC.

‘This project will keep a record of Prince Buthelezi’s service as ertswhile Prime Minister of KwaZulu-Natal and first Minister of Home Affairs in the new democracy.’
Buthelezi thanked the Department of Arts and Culture for recognising the importance of this project which ‘demonstrates the real meaning of democracy’.
