Eight local teams registered for the 501 competition and followed a round robin format leading into the knock-out stages at the business end of the competition
THE pin-point accuracy of father and son duo Vleis and JP van der Westhuizen was enough to earn the pair the Sorted Doubles darts tournament title on Saturday at Sorted Sports Bar.
The Van Der Westhuizen pair beat Brett van Biljon and Douglas White 3-1 in a hotly contested final.
Eight local teams registered for the 501 competition and followed a round robin format leading into the knock-out stages at the business end of the competition.
In the end, it was the Van der Westhuizens taking on father and son duo Raj and Neren Praag in the first semi-final, and White and Van Biljon taking on Chuch Pereira and Andre Dewinnar in the second semi-final.

The Van der Westhuizen’s won 2-0, with White and Van Biljon emerging 2-1 victors.
Pereira and Dewinnar rectified their semi-final performance and won the third and fourth play-off against the Praags.
After the doubles competition, eight enthusiastic players entered the 301 singles knockout competition.
Vleis maintained his form from the doubles competition and dominated all the way through to take the singles title as well.
