Fatal accident investigation continues

The case was remanded to 16 August for further investigation

THE driver of one of the vehicles involved in the Bullion Boulevard accident in which a three-year-old boy lost his life, appeared in the Richards Bay District Court earlier this month and the case was remanded to 16 August for further investigation.

The incident occurred at the end of May when Christiaan Halliday (24) apparently lost control at the S-bend entering Bullion Boulevard towards Richards Bay’s CBD and crashed head-on into a truck.

One passenger was trapped and extricated using the ‘jaws of life’, while three children were immediately rushed to hospital.

The three-year-old died en route.
