DOMINATING a new race class is as easy as changing gears for local motor-cross rider Clavin Hume, who is currently leading the very competitive E1 Class in the KZN X-Country Regional Series on his new 250 Ktm fuel injected bike.
The talented youngster who has raced five races this year in the senior class, has already recorded two first places, two second places and one fourth place finish this season.
His second victory in his class came over the weekend at the 5th round of the KZN X-Country Regional Series held on Armadale Farm on the South Coast.
Riders had to complete six 26km laps on a challenging course, which took competitors along sandy river beds into tight single rain forest tracks.
This course suited Hume’s racing style, who finished second overall and tops in his class.
