BREAKING: Two dead as police vehicle overturns near Manguzi

ONE police officer and an informant died and another officer and informant sustained injuries in an accident on the R22 near Manguzi this afternoon.

The officers are said to be from the Pietermaritzburg Tactical Response Team (TRT) and were based at the Sileza Nature Reserve.

Initial reports indicate that the a vehicle travelling from Mphelandaba towards Manguzi on the R22 veered into oncoming traffic, forcing the police driver to swerve, lose control and overturn the vehicle.
