Why we love chilly days here in Zululand

Temperatures have dropped at least 10 degrees lower than what we are used to here in Zululand.
But chilly weather does have it perks.
• Finally being able to wear your favourite beanie, scarf and gloves set – or that winter coat that always seems too warm for Zululand winters.
• Cheers to good old OBS. Many a South African believes in the heart-warming properties of Sedgwick’s Old Brown Sherry (only for over 18s).
• Ahhhh, hot chocolate. Who cares if it’s fattening – a mug of piping hot chocolate is packed with ‘feel good’ stuff.
• Biryani. A great curry must be one of the most efficient winter warmers out there.
• Snuggles. Zululanders don’t get much time to snuggle up under the covers with the ones they love. Because most of the time, it’s simply too hot and humid!
