Rita Herselman this week reveled how she was saved by her dog Nonna after she stopped breathing during her sleep

LOCAL Motor Neurone Disease (MND) sufferer, Rita Herselman this week reveled how she was saved by her dog Nonna after she stopped breathing during her sleep.

Speaking during an interview with the ZO, she spoke of her pet’s incredible response to her plight.

‘It happened a year ago, before I had been put on oxygen.

‘One night I was sleeping, with Nonna next to me, so when I stopped breathing she must have sensed something was wrong.

‘She started scratching me and I had scratch marks on my head, with blood coming out.
