TV presenter-turned-pastor Pushie Watson, best known for her role on popular ’90s TV show Jam Alley, will be visiting Richards Bay to speak at a women’s conference organised by the Christian Revival Church (CRC).
As part of the #SHE CRC Richards Bay Women’s Conference, the purpose of the event is for women to stand up and step into the fullness of their destiny.
After realising her calling to ministry and attending bible college, Pushie said God began opening doors for her to minister to women from all walks of life, from those in prison to those in palaces.
Pushie’s career as a dancer quickly led her to becoming a TV presenter, which in turn took her into acting and finally to the pulpit.
‘I love public speaking in every form,’ said Pushie.
‘From the first time I spoke during our youth service, I knew I was born to preach.
‘It was only then that my spirit, soul and body were in unison.’
Pushie is now a ‘celebrity pastor’ and makes many TV appearances to both preach and do motivational speaking.
Scheduled for 5 August, the #SHE CRC Richards Bay Women’s Conference, at which Pushie will be speaking, is to be held at John Ross College and will begin with registration at 8am.
Light refreshments will be served during the conference, which is scheduled to run until about 2pm.
Tickets cost R200 per person or R850 for a group of five women.
Students can get in for R170.
