SOCIAL media has made things so easier and scary at the same time.
We are able to see what people are up to and how they dress in another city, and with this it’s not only adults that are watching, but young kids as well, the future leaders of tomorrow.
This weekend I felt so ashamed and hurt looking through social media and seeing pictures of beautiful women half naked at the prestigious horse-racing event that happens every year in Durban.
One of the highlights of this weekend is watching the fashion and who was dressed to kill, and that includes young girls who are trying to get ideas for their matric dance dresses etc.
I get that everyone wants to be free to be themselves and dress however, but is it really a good example to have the most respected parts of your body revealed for the rest of the world to see.
I’m not sure whether the problem is with the women being half naked or the people giving them attention and turning their nakedness into good thing.
My main concern is the example being set for the young ones who will grow up thinking it’s the right thing to do.
You can be proud of your body and curves covered up – remember a gift always looks much better wrapped!
