Super snappers go blue
More super winners from the Beachcombers Photography Club's November competition
THE theme for the Beachcombers Photography Club member’s competition for November was ‘Blue’, and once again the standard of entries was impressive.
With external adjudicator Anne d’Oliviera doing the judging, the overall winning images came from Celia Watkins with ‘Standoff’ in the Novice category, while Graeme Swarts won the Advanced category with ‘Blue Vase’.
The other two category winners were Luzanne Bezuidenhout (Junior) with ‘Blueberry Surprise’ and Gavin Fordham (Senior) with ‘Little Guy’.
Results of the ‘Face of Africa’ competition were also announced. Sias van Schalkwyk took first place with ‘Masai Man’ while Nobby Clark took second and third place with ‘Happy Traffic” and ‘Smiler’ respectively.
Anyone interested in photography is invited to attend meetings on the first Tuesday of every month at the NSRI base, next to Zululand Yacht Club in Richards Bay. Induction for new members starts at 6.10pm and the event at 7pm sharp.
