A young man of all sports
He was nominated as the Zululand Observer's SuperSports Let's Play sportsperson for May
ESHOWE High School’s 14-year-old Zipho Ngema has sets his sights on becoming a sports star of the future, but the Grade 8 learner is already making waves.
He was nominated as the Zululand Observer’s SuperSports Let’s Play sportsperson for May.
While at Holy Childhood School, in 2013 Zipho attended a Leadership Sports Camp in Hillcrest.
The Mr Price sponsored event aimed at improving general sports and leadership skills in the youth.
This proved a turning point in his sports career and motivated the young Zipho to develop his sports skills.
He enjoys all sports and, at the moment, does not have a particular sport in which he wants to specialise.
In his first year at eShowe High, he represented uThungulu in tennis and hockey at the KZN Salga games two weeks ago and attended the KZN trials respectively.
Besides these achievements, he has also played for the U14 cricket, swimming and athletics teams.
He prefers the 800, 1500 and 3000 metres athletic events.
Zipho comes from the Mkhukhuze area outside eShowe.
