THREE alleged rhino poachers appeared briefly in the Kwamsane Magistrate’s Court last Wednesday on charges of illegal hunting and possession of rhino horn.
The case was remanded to yesterday (Wednesday) for further investigations.
The suspects remained in custody.
The court appearance follows their arrest after a search of their vehicle in the Inkangala area outside Mtubatuba.
Umfolozi game rangers, together with special task team ‘Rhino 8′, were on duty along the R618 when they stopped the suspects’ car.
A rhino horn and weapons were found.
