Lucky escape for Empangeni residents as attacker’s gun misfires repeatedly

When I looked up this guy was standing in front of me, pointing a gun

HAVING a gun pointed at you and the triggered pulled repeatedly, is a harrowing experience no one would want to encounter.

But this is exactly the situation two Empangeni residents faced last Tuesday afternoon – and lived to tell the tale.

Theresa Wilsenach was visiting her colleague Shaun Francis at his home on Tuesday in Maritz Road, Empangeni, when she was approached by a man brandishing a pistol.

‘I drove into Shaun’s driveway and the gate closed behind me.

‘I was busy texting on my phone when I stepped out of my vehicle. When I looked up this guy was standing in front of me, pointing a gun. I immediately retreated to the front door.’
