R104-million worth of heroin secured at Kosi Bay

Bags of heroin with a street value of R104-million were hidden in a makeshift compartment underneath the suspect's vehicle

A JOINT operation undertaken by the Richards Bay Organised Crime Unit with Empangeni and Pretoria crime intelligence officers, on Monday secured a drug bust of R104-million worth of heroin.

The seizure was made at Kosi Bay and three men were arrested.

Pretoria crime intelligence members received information about a suspect vehicle due to enter South Africa from Mozambique via Kosi Bay.
