Rotary music trivia evening buys wheelchairs
The generosity of the full house ensured plenty of support for the Rotary cause
THE response of the party-goers was sweet harmony to the ears of the Richards Bay Rotary Club organisers when pledges of 120 wheelchairs were made during Friday night’s music trivia evening.
Held at the Zululand Multi Sport Club, the event saw teams pitting their knowledge of singers and songs past and present amid loads of laughter, fun and dancing.

The generosity of the full house ensured plenty of support for the Rotary cause, while Keith Eaton of K&R Entertainment kept the decibel levels high.

Ticket sales, auctions and raffles raised R78 000 for the cause.
‘We know these are tough economic times and we are so grateful to all who attended and pledged,’ said Rotary organiser Arthur Gray.

‘I wish you could all be there when we hand out these wheelchairs, to understand the difference you have made in so many lives and to see the gratitude on the recipients’ faces.’
