Three years for cell phone pouch theft

The thief had previous convictions

THEFT of a cell phone pouch landed a robber a three-year imprisonment sentence.

Kwazikwakhe Innocent Ngcamu was sentenced in the Richards Bay Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.

The incident occurred on 10 October outside a Veldenvlei property where Ngcamu stole the cell phone pouch which was left outside to dry.

He was apprehended outside the house where one of the window panes had been removed. He denied having removed the glass.

When arrested he was found in possession of the cell phone pouch.

He has five previous convictions for housebreaking.
