Richards Bay Coal Terminal comes to crèche’s rescue
The donation covered the centre's shortfall, allowing the completion of the project
MORE than 150 children in the Mevamhlophe area outside Empangeni can now enjoy early education at the newly extended Zakheni Crèche which officially opened last week.
Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT) last year allocated R376 700, to come to the aid of the school after it ran out of funding to complete construction of the centre.
‘RBCT continues to focus on early childhood development and education as we recognise this as an integral component in building a better and brighter future for children and youth,’ said RBCT CSI Officer Princess Sibiya.
Crèche founder and supervisor, Ntombi Mzila, thanked the company for ‘coming to the rescue’.
