THE KwaMsane police request members of the public to assist them in finding the missing Khangelani Makhunga (70) of Ingwavuma area.

According to information received, Makhunga came to KwaMsane to have his pension renewed at the Sassa offices. Makhunga remained at KwaMsane for the month of April, where he was looked after by his granddaughter Samukelisiwe Makhunga.

Then on the 5 May he left KwaMsane for home at Ingwavuma. The granddaughter made a call to find out whether Makhunga arrived home, but was told he had not.

The following day the granddaughter received a call from her uncle, reporting that Makhunga had still not arrived home. She immediately reported the matter to the police.

Makhunga was last seen wearing a black tracksuit pants and a RBM boiler suit with a yellow letter X at the back. The KwaMsane police have opened a missing person docket for investigation.

The investing officer Const Gabisile Buthelezi is requesting anyone who might have information about the whereabouts of Makhunga to please contact her on her office telephone number 035 5519030/11 or on her cell phone 083 5882339.
