Cooper brothers have what it takes on the field and track

Sporty brothers rack up achievements

WHILE the bulk of their generation hibernate indoors, focusing on the latest technology, the Cooper brothers can be found outdoors honing their sporting skills.

Wade (14) and Ethan (10) recently returned from Port Elizabeth after a successful indoor cricket tour representing KZN North at the South African Indoor Cricket Tournament.

Wade picked up a hat-trick against Eastern Province Jumbos with figures of 4/-19, whilst younger brother Ethan was selected for the South African Diamonds side.

Ethan, currently in Grade 4 at Veldenvlei Primary School, participates in rugby, cricket, swimming, athletics, motor racing and indoor cricket.

His rèsumè includes U12A rugby (flyhalf), U12A cricket (all-rounder), Junior Victor Ludorum for swimming (2016 and 2017), KICKSA athletcis (uThungulu team) (2016), quarter midget class hotrod racing (2017) and KZN North and SA Diamonds indoor cricket side (2017).

When not acing it in the classroom or practicing sport, Ethan can be found chilling in front of the television jamming X-Box.

The adventurous youngster aims to winning his class in hotrods this year and wants to be selected for the uThungulu rugby and cricket sides.

Older brother Wade, in grade 8 at Felixton College, competes in hockey, cricket, swimming, rugby, athletics, indoor cricket and motor racing.

Wade’s rèsumè includes U12 uThungulu hockey (2015), U13 uThungulu hockey (2016), U13 KZN hockey (2016), U14 uThungulu hockey (2017), U14A cricket, Senior Victor Ludorum for swimming (2016), U14A rugby, SA Diamonds indoor cricket team (2015), KZN North indoor cricket team (2012-2017), U14 SA World Cup Trial indoor cricket squad (2017) and second in Ninja Midget Class for hotrods (2016).

He loves to listen to music in his spare time and aims at making the World Cup team for indoor cricket this year.
