A BRAND new shopping centre in Ulundi, with Shoprite as the anchor tenant, was officially opened by the mayor, Cllr Manana on Friday.
Early shoppers at Shoprite were treated to the beautiful singing of the staff as the doors opened, before the managers cut the ribbon.
A constant flow of shoppers visited the store throughout the morning.
A shopper, was very happy with the new store saying it provides employment opportunities and also a variety of prducts at good prices.
The shopping mix in the centre includes Ideals, Jumbo, Joshua Doore, Hardware Warehouse, a Nedbank ATM and optometrist Lawrence Dube, who also has branches in the Melmoth Shopping Centre, Nongoma and Pongola.
Other businesses still to move into the centre include Spur and Shoprite Liquor Store.
