Crafters from all over Zululand gather in eShowe

For the annual Crafters Imbizo at Fort Nongqayi Musuem Village

CRAFTERS from all over Zululand converged on eShowe to show and sell the wares at the annual Crafters Imbizo at Fort Nongqayi Musuem Village on Sunday and Monday.

Master weaver Angelina Masuku was there with her beautifully made baskets.

Also on show were clay pots by Brian Mkhize, Binipho Magwaza, Lindiwe Ngubane and Makhosazana Ntuli.

Thembi Mthabela of KZN Papermaking displayed the work they are doing with paper made from sugar cane.

Traditional bead work was displayed by Doris Mwelase.

More modern crafts included Zanele Ngema, Sbongile Xulu and Cynthia Shange who make fashion accessories from colourful material, shoe holders by Nancy Fuwe, pillows by Henry and Thandi Nxumalo and wire work by Dumisani Mthethwa.
