Lucky escape for cop who crashed into KwaMbonambi ditch

A POLICEMAN lost control of his bakkie on the gravel road near Amangwe Village at 4.30am this morning and plummeted into a four-metre deep ditch.

Meditrax Emergency Services rushed to the scene and found the driver had managed to free himself from the vehicle.

He sustained only minor injuries and was taken to Netcare The Bay Hospital for examination.
