
THE late Raymond Croft was not only just a beggar. He was a human being.
There were many times when I approached him at the Five-Way robots. He did not harass anyone for money, but merely stood there and took whatever he got.
I always knew there was something deeper, he had a certain sadness in his eyes.
This story was a perfect example of how judgmental we all are. We don’t think twice about what other people’s life journeys entail.
I was shocked to learn that he passed away. May his soul rest in peace.
