uMhlathuze Stadium floodlights up and running

Electricians this week put the new floodlights to the test

ASIDE from the fact the Thanda Royal Zulu soccer side is topping the National First Division table, the lights are brighter for other reasons at the uMhlathuze Stadium.

Electricians this week put the new floodlights to the test, transforming the late afternoon gloom into clear daylight.

This will be an important factor towards the winter months, when days are shorter, and also at times when dark clouds are overhead.

A magnificent asset for the city, the floodlights are essential for the stadium to meet PSL requirements if and when the Amabhubesi gain promotion.

The installation of these four floodlight pylons, which cost the municipality R12-million, will also enable Thanda to host evening games, which in turn will attract more fans to the stadium.
