THE University of KZN is putting out feelers to see if local professionals are seeking further education in leadership.
Speaking at an open day hosted in Richards Bay on Thursday for UKZN Extended Learning Management and Leadership Courses, sales executives Yashna Sookoo and Sindiswa Ndlovu said demand for their flagship Management Leadership programme has far exceeded their expectations in Durban.
‘Owing to the immense popularity of this course, requested by both private companies and the public entities, we are seeing if enough people in this area would be interested in us offering the programme here,’ said Yashna.
Sindiswa added the university has also ‘pushed’ to focus more on entrepreneurship skills development.
‘Some of our new courses are Essentials for Business Start-Ups, Advanced Project Management, Finance for Entrepreneurs and Strategic Marketing Management.
