New SA produced film highlights poaching plight
A proudly South African film is being made to emphasise the country's war against rhino poaching

A PROUDLY South African film is being made to emphasise the country’s war against rhino poaching.
The riveting story depicts two rookie policemen from the SAPS’ anti rhino poaching unit dedicating their lives to put poachers behind bars.
The film starts with partners Jabu and Alex participating in the arrest of a gang led by their childhood friend named Dollar.
Dollar is caught and locked up, but it is not long before he makes the men an offer that could bring the biggest criminal kingpins behind the rhino horn trade to their knees.
But it comes at a high price. They would have to confiscate the evidence against Dollar to prevent his prosecution.
This must-see movie brims with suspense and unpredictable plot twists.
It is currently supported by the National Film and Video Foundation of the Department of Arts and Culture, however it still requires a further R4.8-million to complete production.
A big supporter of the project, MP Prince Buthelezi, said this film is crucial to create worldwide awareness of the local crisis.
‘I see the merit in creating wider public interest in the work of those fighting rhino poaching.’
