FRIDAY saw the start of chess lessons in Empangeni spearheaded by the uThungulu Chess Association.

Several learners and avid chess fanatics gathered at the Empangeni Library Hall to better their skills or simply learn about the patient and intellectually challenging game of chess.

The lessons will be held every Friday, from 2pm – 5pm, until 7 April and are open and free to all age groups.
