Young sailors show good progress

Young local yachties sail well at Midmar

PUTTING the skills they have learned at the Zululand Yacht Club to good use, young development sailors Bonga Mngoma and Ethan Hooper competed well at the SASKZN Grand Slam Regatta 2017 over the weekend.

The high profile event was hosted by the Henley Midmar Yacht Club and took place at the Midmar Dam.

Having first trained on an Optimist with coach Antoinette Schreuder, Bonga progressed to the Lazer class and this was his first competitive outing on a Lazer.

Ethan was on top form as he sailed to second place in the Oppie division.
