Job scam warning

Job scammers use Foskor's name

CASHING in on the hopes of desperate job seekers, con men are once again making profit through false promises of employment.

Foskor Richards Bay yesterday issued a warning against recruitment scams after the company’s name was illegally used to lure victims, promising them positions, which in return required them to pay a sum of money in advance.

‘Under no circumstances will Foskor accept any form of payment for employment,’ said spokesperson Thembile Jobe.

‘Foskor would like to emphasise that we don’t sell jobs to unemployed people and we urge the public not to engage with anyone who poses as a Foskor recruitment agent or consultant, especially if that person requests payment.

‘All Foskor job opportunities are advertised and the correct recruitment processes are followed accordingly.

‘We urge anyone who has been affected to report these incidents of fraud and corruption to the nearest police station,’ said Jobe.
