LINDIWE Nxumalo (34) of Khula Village, Mtubatuba, was struck and killed by lightning on Sunday evening.
The pregnant mother of four was apparently cooking on a gas stove when she was struck.
At the time Nxumalo was with her 10-year-old and one-year-old daughters.
The elder child also sustained minor injuries.
She hid herself and her sister under the bed until the morning and reported the incident to a neighbour.
