A HITCH-hiker who asked a passer-by for directions to the Richards Bay Taxi Rank was taken into the bushes near ZCBF Community Park and sexually assaulted on Sunday morning.
After receiving a lift from a truck driver, the woman was dropped off in Alton near the ZCBF Park and told she could ask anyone for directions to the nearby taxi rank.
The victim approached a pedestrian and asked for help, but instead the man lured her into the bushes and assaulted her.
During the attack, she bit him several times.
She reported the attack to the police and the suspect was soon arrested at the crime scene.
