DRIVE-by shooting victim Sbongiseni Msimang, gunned down in a hail of bullets on the John Ross Parkway last Monday, had a hunch the hit was coming.
In a shock development at his funeral service in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday, a letter written by Sbo shortly before his assassination was read to the packed congregation.
After expressing his love to his family, Sbo wrote (paraphrased): ‘If I die in any suspicious circumstances, please investigate Dr …’.
The name of the possible suspect was read aloud to the stunned mourners, who had before heard ‘very moving and positive tributes to Sbongiseni’, according to one of the congregation members.
The letter will undoubtedly become a crucial part of the ongoing investigation into Sbo’s untimely death.
