Five injured in four car pile-up

PARAMEDICS treated five patients yesterday afternoon after a four car pile-up on the R34 opposite Oilco in Empangeni.

One of the vehicles caught alight after the accident, but was soon extinguished thanks to the quick response by uMhlathuze Fire and Rescue on scene.

One patient is critically injured while the remaining patients have serious injuries.
