Sweating it out

Locals came out to support Child Obesity Month by competing in two one-hour aerobics sessions

FITNESS freaks sweated it out at two one-hour aerobics sessions on Friday evening at the Empangeni High School’s (EHS) hall to support Child Obesity Awareness Month.

EHS partnered with Ejimini Fitness Club in efforts to raise awareness amongst the local youth about obesity.

All funds raised are to go to the sport department.

‘We as EHS wanted to create awareness amongst our pupils and the community’s youth in general about the importance of maintaining healthy lifestyles. We therefore partnered with Ejimini to achieve this goal,’ said the school’s Marketing Officer Julie da Silva.
