
DESPITE the tight global economy, almost three quarters of a million rand was shared among 23 local charities at the annual Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT) donations handover programme on Friday.
‘We are proud to be able to support these organisations who reach people and places we cannot touch,’ said RBCT CEO Alan Waller.
‘As we celebrate our 40th year of business, we want to continue to be associated with sustainable charities and we remain committed to our CSI engagement with these important community stakeholders.’
The list of grateful recipients comprised: Richards Bay Family Care, Empangeni Family Care, Richards Bay SPCA, Zululand SPCA, SA Red Cross Society, Sanca Zululand, NSRI, Siyabonga Shelter, Thuthukani Special School,
Zululand Mental Health, Zululand Hospice, LifeLine Zululand, Unizul Science Centre, DICE (Do I Care Enough?), Uthungulu Community Foundation, Pathways School for Autism, Business Against Crime, Hluhluwe Hilltop Honorary Officers, Ikhaya Likababa, Izulu Orphan Projects, Richards Bay Round Table, Richards Bay Sea Scouts, Richards Bay Rotary Club.
