Matric exam confusion solved

Final examinations back on track for Betesda Independent School matric

BETESDA Independent School’s Grade 12 pupils are back on track to write their final national senior certificate examinations next month after the school discovered three weeks ago their pupils were not registered for the examinations.

A day before they were scheduled to write their life orientation examination on 2 September, the school was informed that the 16 matrics who applied to write as independents at Richards Bay Secondary were not on the list.

According to the school owner Ruby Almond, the matter has since been resolved and provisions have been made for the pupils to write their exams, including those subjects they missed.

‘It has been a difficult few weeks for our pupils, parents and staff, but we are relieved that everything has been sorted out.’
