A SUSPECT has been arrested in connection with a double murder in the Gobandlovu area, Ozwathini.
The arrest follows the fatal shooting of Ntombi Zanele Luthuli (66) and her 46-year-old son Themba Luthuli on Friday, 16 September.
A double murder case was opened for investigation by Nsuze SAPS.
The Nsuze Station Commander, Captain Ndawonde, together with Nsuze detectives and KwaDukuza Crime Intelligence followed up on information they received and arrested the 37 year-old suspect on Tuesday in Ashdown area outside Pietermaritzburg.
He was due to appear in the Nsuze Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
Investigations are continuing and further arrests are expected.
